At one point in time, we have packages delivered to our doorposts. But the rate at which package theft is occurring is increasing. Front door package theft is an easy crime that even nonprofessional thieves can engage in confidently. You could also request the package to be delivered at specific drop-off times when you know you are around to pick the packages. Also, you can inform that neighbor you are expecting a package delivery on a specific day so that they can collect it for you on that day. Usually, the mail trucks, Fed Ex trucks, and UPS are loud enough to create a high awareness of their arrival for deliveries.

Secondly, you can choose to get an amazon key for your package deliveries. These Amazon keys combine smart locks and security cameras that will always ensure that the shipments are placed right on your front door. More so, you can choose to have the package deliveries into your cars, the in-car delivery using Amazon.

Thirdly, you can choose to pick up the packages on your own at the package stores such as the United Parcel Service that is usually very convenient. These services are all across the country. More so, you can choose to place a hold on the package to prevent package theft. Most of the delivery companies such as FedEx and USPS will always offer you free services upholding your packages at their delivery Centre and terminals for some time.

More so, you should be aware of when your package is scheduled to arrive. And in this case, it does not don’t hesitate to contact the sender to keep track of the transport status of the packages. Also, when you are picking up your mail, in the case you find out that they are not sorted and grouped with the addresses facing the same way, be cautious. It could mean that someone might have gone through your mailbox.

Additionally, you can always require a signature on delivery. Most of the customers will ever grumble about a delivery man having to sign the unauthorized packages and thus leaving them wide open. This can pose a very significant threat for someone to come and steal them.
